Cricket has been played at Quality Street in Merstham since 1864 and as we approach our 150th anniversary we are set to begin a new chapter in the history of the club. 2012 will see a major redevelopment of our facilities at Quality Street with a new clubhouse and the creation of a second all weather wicket. At Merstham Cricket Club we are proud to be part of the local community and provide cricket coaching in 16 local school as well table cricket for our senior citizens.

We now have over 250 members and field 7 senior teams during the season. Our Saturday senior teams play in the Fullers Surrey County League, with our 1st XI gaining promotion to Division 1 in 2011, while for those who prefer non-league cricket our two Sunday sides play friendly fixtures against clubs from across the county.

We are particularly proud of our thriving Junior section which offers cricket coaching in a safe and fun environment for children from age six to sixteen. We encourage all our junior cricketers to take part in, and enjoy, cricket regardless of ability. Our 12 junior teams play in local leagues and we were East Surrey Colts League champions at under 9, 13 and 14 in 2011. Our under 9’s were also the Reigate and Banstead Sport Council Young Team of the Year for 2011
