Merstham Cricket Club
Quality Street has been the home of cricket at Merstham since at least 1890.
It is one of the most beautiful grounds in Surrey, situated on the North Downs way and boasting views of Reigate Hil Golf Club.
Quality Street comprises a Pavilion (built 2012) with a bar for members and guests, two pitches (one is an all-weather wicket), an electronic score board and training nets.
There are two large changing rooms for Home and Away teams, an officials changing room, plus a 'flexible' changing room for use by youths, ladies or anyone else wishing to change privately. All changing rooms contain shower and toilet faciliities.
The clubhouse has a function room, toilets, bar and terrace. It also has a TV and free WiFi for use by members and guests.
Directions
By Road:
The nearest motorway junction is M25 J8 (Reigate Hill), from here follow the signs for A217 towards Reigate (South), upon leaving the junction keep left and follow signs for "Merstham" and "Reigate Hill Golf Club", the road will spur left (Gatton Bottom Lane).
At the end of the road after 1 mile you will reach a T-junction with the A23, turn right following the A23 south toward Merstham/Redhill.
You will almost immediately cross a motorway bridge and you will see ahead of you our sponsors "The Feathers Pub" on your left and a petrol garage on your right.
As the road bends left, immediately after the petrol garage, you should turn right into "Quality Street".
The entrance to the cricket club is on your left less than 15 yards down the road, you will see a sign for "Merstham Cricket Club" and you need to follow the track BEHIND the sign (as the gated entrance in front of the sign takes you into a new housing estate).
Please drive slowly into Quality Street and down the lane to our club. Everyone should be respectful to our local neighbours. The club is situated on the North Downs Way, please be careful of walkers and cyclists.
By Train:
Merstham train station is only a few minutes walk from Quality Street and is on the main London to Brighton line. It can be reached from London Victoria and has good links from East Croydon, Clapham Junction and Gatwick Airport.
On arriving at Merstham come out of the main entrance to the station (if travelling South you will need to cross the footbridge), follow the road immeidately to your right.
At the end of the road turn left and you will walk past The Feathers public house, cross the road by the petrol garage (or use the safety of the zebra crossing further round the corner), you are now in Quality Street, walk down track behind the club's sign and you will find yourself in the clubs carpark.
