We are sorry this ground is not well suited to visitors who find it hard to walk and would like to park beside the ground.
Please respect we hire this pitch from the school as a 3rd home ground for matchdays where and are in use by other teams playing at home.
Players and visitors should respect the school and its students as you are visiting their private school grounds and it may be within term time.
We do not have a clubhouse here but visiting teams are more than welcome to return to after matches to enjoy a few drinks and socialise with our other teams.
Directions
Parking is not available at the school, please drop off in the school (if the driver is not staying) or park on Monson Road, or nearby, and walk to the pitch through the woods.
Drop off only - Players and kit can be dropped off within the school, reached by Rocky Lane, and walk south down the hill within the school grounds to the cricket pitch, which is referred to as the "Bottom Field" by the school signage. It is a 5-10 minute walk. This option is good if the driver is just picking up/ collecting and not staying to watch or play.
Parking - You cannot park in school grounds. If you park locally, for instance in Monson Road or Ringwood Avenue, please do so legally and safely and respect local residents driveways. It is not permit parking in this area, it is free but, do not obstruct driveways or the entrance at the top of Monson Road as it is congested and a dangerous junction, try and park further down.
Directions from parking in Monson Road/ Ringwood Avenue - walk to the north of Monson road and its junction with "Gatton Park Road - A242". Cross at the pedestrian crossing traffic lights and walk through the gate entrance in the wall to Gatton Park/ Royal Alexandra and Albert School. Walk north for 5-10 minutes through the woods along the lighted pedestrian path to reach the playing pitch. Unfortunately, you cannot bring your vehicle up to the pitch or park in the school.
If you are coming by car and thinking of dropping off at the school and parking locally, there is no parking in or by the school in Rocky Lane for instance. The best option is to drive out of the school, turn left down Rocky Lane. At the junction with London Road turn left. When you reach the brow of the hill and before the petrol garage turn right onto Gatton Park Road A242, here you are driving with the edge of the school grounds/ Gatton Park on your right. After a minute you will see Monson Road on your left and then Colesmead Road further along. Park and follow the directions above.
