Geoff Miller to be guest speaker at 150th anniversary dinner

Merstham Cricket Club is delighted to announce that recently retired England selector Geoff Miller will be the guest speaker at our 150th anniversary dinner on Friday, August 15.

A right-handed all rounder, Geoff played 254 first-class games for Derbyshire from 1973-86 and 1990, when he returned after a spell with Essex.

Between 1987-89 he played 34 Tests for England, with a best score of 98, achieved twice.

From 2008-2013 Geoff was chairman of selectors for England and in the 2014 New Years Honours list was appointed an OBE for services to cricket. This month, he has been appointed president of Derbyshire.

Our 150th anniversary dinner takes place at Reigate Hill Golf Club and the price has been set at £40 per head. There will be a three-course meal and live band to dance to. For tickets please contact Richard Feist.
