Merstham first team invited to Surrey Mirror awards night

The club's first team have been invited to the awards night of the Surrey Mirror sports awards 2014, on Thursday February 12, 2015.

It means they have reached the final three in the adult team of the year category, for which they were entered a couple of months ago.

They were shortlisted along with several other clubs, but after public voting closed last month the sports editors at the Surrey Mirror group have announced that the team has been placed in the top three in the category.

In the club's 150th anniversary year, the first team had a fantastic year, winning promotion and the Fuller's League Division Two title with 15 victories from 18 games.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Harlequin Theatre, Redhill, where all the winners from the newspaper groups across Crawley, Mole Valley, East Grinstead and Croydon will be announced.
