The Sunday combined side played out an entertaining draw in the timed game with Chipstead, Coulsdon and Walcountians.
Merstham were put into bat by Captain Bill Ash and managed to score 205 all out from 42 overs. Chief contributors being Ben Carter (27) , Gus Locke (51), Will Prior’s heavy bat (26) and a 21 ball 40 from the 4th team's favourite "overseas" player, Bharat Sahani.
Surprisingly, the Sunni and Saeed double act (Bowry and first team skipper Nav) only managed 18 runs between them.
Wickets were shared amongst the Chipstick bowlers and featured a keeper who stood up to the stumps for most of the game!
In reply, the Chippies managed 186 for 4 off 37 overs.
Not many wickets taken but some miserly bowling from Carter 1-32 off 7 and Locke 1-25 off 9.
It was a lovely ground to visit and a superb score book filled in by Carolyn and Barbara.
