Merstham U12 Hawks win ESCL title

Merstham's Under 12 Hawks have won the East Surrey Colts League, winning all the games they played.

They were victorious over teams including Lingfield, Chipstead and Reigate Priory, winning the league by four points from second placed Capel.

A special mention goes to batsman Matt Lehain who did not get out once, topping the under 12 league with 134 runs in six innings and also Sam Turner who scored 71 runs.

Top wicket taker was Sam Luard with eight  followed by James Cripps seven, Max Anderson six, Harry Younan six, Tristan Meyer five and Sam Turner five.

The rest of the squad also contributed with some great fielding, bowling and batting and they were George Craig, Matt Retter, Luca Retter, Noah Young and Jude McRobbie. 

Also a mention must go to Ben Lehain, Barney Turner and Matt Cripps, younger brothers of the squad, who all stepped in to help and all contributed with excellent fielding.
