U9s seek your support in playoff final on Thursday

Merstham U9s are hoping for a bumper supporting crowd on Thursday at Quality Street, after reaching the ESCL playoff final with a fantastic win over a strong Horley side.

Fielding first, some excellent bowling and catching restricted Horley to 255-11 with four wickets for James Barkwith, and two for Oliver White with others being shared around.

A particularly brilliant catch by Paolo Bertorelli and excellent wicket keeping by Oliver Clements rounded off a great team performance. Merstham's 284-6 in reply featured some big hitting from Thomas Pieters (17) Oliver White (14) and Charlie Halford-Nichols hitting a huge six.. A fantastic team effort with every player making a valuable contribution. 

The final is on Thursday July 20 at Quality Street against Oxted and Limpsfield, starting at 5.45pm. The team would appreciate plenty of supporters to come along and cheer the boys on!
