Ask not what your club can do for you, but what you can do for your club! This is the message behind the ECB's annual NatWest Cricket Force weekend, which takes place on Saturday April 7 and Sunday April 8, 2018.

This nationwide event encourages club members to volunteer for their club ahead of the season. We have two grounds to prepare, Quality Street and The Ring.

A full list of tasks will be outlined nearer the time, but they will include preparing the outdoor nets at Quality Street and helping to resurface the driveway into our main ground. If anyone has a wacker plate machine to help with this task, or can acquire one for a few days, please get in touch.

It is six years since we were one of three ECB focus clubs that year. To inspire you to come along this time, you can re-live that occasion on YouTube our 2012 experience, when dozens of people from Merstham and the wider community - including other clubs - came to help former England captain and then England players Chris Tremlett and Charlotte Edwards do substantial work on our ground.

Please wear sturdy shoes, gloves and outdoor/painting working gear and indicate if you are coming, because a light lunch of soup and bread will be provided. A fuller list of tasks will appear here, We start at 10am.
