Youngsters help restructure Ring clubhouse

Some of our junior members gave up their February half-term to help with developments at our second ground's clubhouse at The Ring.

Working with the charity, Volunteer It Yourself (VIY), which is carrying out much of the work, they learned trade skills while helping their club.
The charity works with young people aged 14-24, teaching them trade skills while helping the community.
The clubhouse is being redeveloped. One obvious change will be that entrance to each changing room will be direct from outside. Also, greater storage space will be provided for cricket maintenance equipment. Among the tasks were to put up new partition walls.

We are very grateful to the youngsters who volunteered and to everyone who has played a hand in helping to improve the facilities so far. The charity VIY also posted a video of the work being done, which can be seen on our Facebook page.
