Reminder on social distancing

We hope all members are enjoying their cricket now we have managed to return to matches in the past couple of weeks.

We would just like to remind you about social distancing rules set out by the Government and the rules laid down by the ECB which have enabled us to return to matches. Please follow the advice given to you by your captains or the instructions laid down by individual clubs at which you are playing.

These have some variations between clubs, such as how to register as being at a club on the day to enable track and chase if required and the regularity of cleaning the ball with sanitiser. The ones for Merstham Cricket Club venues can be found here. Particularly important this year is to register your contact details on our website for the current season.

As when net sessions with groups were introduced, the ECB have indicated they will be attending clubs to see how the rules are working. Please welcome them and offer every assistance if they come to a club at which you are playing.
