Merstham Cricket Club has been presented with a certificate to show that it received a grant from the ECB for the Cricket World Cup Fund.
With England hosting the World Cup this year, clubs were able to apply for grants to improve their facilities by way of celebration. The club applied for a grant to spend on a glass washer for the bar, which we are sure you will agree has been a great success - especially if you have served behind the bar! We thank the ECB for its continued support during this summer, one in which England brought home the World Cup Trophy after a dramatic final at Lord's.Merstham Cricket Club has achieved Clubmark status yet again, after much hard work by club officials led by Bernard Feist.
Merstham will host the following Surrey games at Quality Street in the next few weeks.
Then on Wednesday August 14, Merstham will host the Surrey U12s with a 10am start.
Few teams can practise more often that the Merstham Magics, the club's disability team. Every week, winter and summer, they put in the effort under Dan Feist's careful guidance. So, when the chance of a match comes along, they are always ready and eager.
