We welcome enquiries about joining Merstham Cricket Club at all age groups and have many teams and training for youngsters aged five upwards. We have opportunities for boys and girls.

Our outdoor season for all age groups started on Friday 22nd April at Quality Street Merstham RH1 3BB.

Merstham Cricket Club has launched a 100 Club - a club fundraising draw running 12 months of the year!

Merstham Magics - the club's disability side - had a triumphant day at the Surrey Cricket Centre in Guildford on March 27, winning all three of their matches and easily coming top of the table.

Batting first in an afternoon of pairs matches, they comfortably beat Rowledge Ramblers 65 to 25, then achieved their highest score of the afternoon, defeating Surrey Legends 114 to 63.

It's time to get ready for the new season - come and help your club prepare the ground at Quality Street on Saturday, 26th March from 10am to 2pm.

Get into the swing of thinking about cricket in 2022 by signing up for our first ever golf day! This club fundraiser is being organised by our vice-chairman Jason Drewett, who has written the message below.

I am pleased to invite our members and parents to the MCC Golf Day on Friday 29^th April. We will meet at Reigate Hill Golf Club at 1pm (Country Club, Surrey | Reigate Hill Golf Club|Golf, weddings, parties) and tee times are from 2pm.

Chairman Richard Feist paid a huge tribute to his father Bernard for his work as groundsman over several years, when the club gathered for its 2022 AGM on Sunday.

Bernard and his assistant Bob McGillivray have carried out pitch and building maintenance work at Quality Street and at The Ring and stepped down from their voluntary roles this winter.

Notice is given that Merstham Cricket Club Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 16th January 2022 at The Pavilion, Quality Street. The meeting will start at 6pm.

In the light of the necessary, relevant and continuing conversation about racism in cricket, which can be read about here, Merstham Cricket Club wish to confirm that there is no place for racism or any form of discrimination within cricket or society.

Merstham Cricket Club team captains rewarded their star performers with player of the year awards on Saturday night.

Leading the way was Asim Jaffri, who took 24 wickets for the first team. Captain Laurie Nicholson said Jaffri had also got the team over the line a few times having applied himself with the bat, too.

Second team captain Matt Williams gave his award to Joe Rees-Davies for his excellent bowling performances. The third team award, presented by George Corrie, also went to a bowler in Callum Letts. Teenager Fin Willshire, another bowler, picked up the fourth team award from Gopa Nair. Rob Harris, the development team manager, said it was great to have seven or eight really able youngsters in a promising Sunday league competition side. His award went to Dan Kite for a string of outstanding batting performances. The Sunday friendly award, presented by club captain Nav Saeed, went to Vamsi Bhogireddy for his bowling and always being a willing helper on match days. He has also introduced quite a few new players to the club this season. Kite also picked up the award for most runs (437), while the best average (41.29) went to Jo Czerpak. Lithon Tarofder picked up the award for most wickets (34) while the top catch taker was club chairman Richard Feist. Photos by Neil Jones
