At the club's Annual General Meeting, held Sunday 15th January, it was announced that all adult and junior playing and social fees would remain at 2022 levels. Welcomed by all, its stressed this is only possible due to huge efforts in fundraising last year and the pro-bono work around the club by members. The committee is pleased that in the current economic climate and squeeze on families finances prices can be frozen. We encourage anyone to get in touch if cost is an issue to playing cricket in 2023, it should never be a barrier to participation.

Thanks to the 2022 playing committee as some new and familiar captains were elected for 2023:

Saturday 1st XI - Noman Javed (C) Humayoon Nasir, Jaikumar Uvaraju (VC's)
Saturday 2nd XI - Luke Saunders (C) Fergus Carrick (VC)
Saturday 3rd XI - George Corrie (C) Ben Jones (VC)
Saturday 4th XI - Andy Clark (C ) Richard Pitt (VC)
Saturday 5th XI - Jon White (C) Thomas Kenny (VC)
Sunday 1st XI / Development XI - Afsar Khan/ Ben Jones (C's) Rob Harris (Manager)

Sponsorship and Fundraising are really important for the future of Merstham Cricket Club and for helping to supply a lot of the necessary equipment across our Junior and Adult teams, for all genders and abilities.

If your company, or the company you work for, is interested in sponsoring our thriving cricket club, which embraces a wide variety of the community, we have a wide range of options that could suit your business as well as provide important resources to help the club continue in its successes.

Notice is given that Merstham Cricket Club Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 15th January 2023 at The Pavilion, Quality Street also via Zoom. The meeting will start at 6pm.

Members should advise Carol Pearce Club Secretary in writing via email of any other business to be moved at the meeting at least 14 days before the meeting.

Merstham Cricket Club members are kindly reminded that the outdoor nets at Quality Street are not available during the winter months.

They are now closed, not just because the club is not open for practice during winter but because they are being refurbished during the off season.

Fin Willsher took two player of the season awards as Merstham Cricket Club celebrated the end of another league season on September 3rd.
