Last year, we were honoured to have been invited to play at THE Lord's cricket ground in St John's Wood. We had an amazing day, and made life-long memories playing on the hallowed turf. We couldn't have been more surprised then, but then this year the email came through asking us to play AGAIN! What an honour.

It felt only right that we took a completely new look team to experience taking the footsteps of hundreds of international players, and ticking off bucket list items! We arrived at the ground, and walked round the stands before being shown to our changing room for the day, aka the Committee Room. We then made our way through the Long Room to the benches to watch the first T20 of the day: Gunnersbury vs MCC Women. It was a great chance to further bond as a team before the tour of the ground. We headed up to the media centre for one of the best views of the ground and pavilion. 

On Friday night the U9 hosted reigate and horley, for a club friendly. To celebrate the end of season.

With the sun shining, bbq on and music playing. We set about playing 4 mini games one Hardball one softball format.

With the exciting growth of the girls' section, this will also be a great opportunity for a relaxed discussion forum with coaches and parents to reflect on the season and look forward to next year. So, bring your ideas, feedback, questions and enthusiasm as we shape the future of girls cricket at Merstham!

During the May half term, the Merstham U12s embarked on an exciting tour to Kent—an adventure full of cricket, team bonding, and memorable moments. Some families stayed in the area, while others joined the group for the day, creating a brilliant mix of commitment and camaraderie.

Tuesday began with a meet-up at Claremont School for an indoor nets session. With rain falling outside, this turned out to be the perfect solution to kick off the tour. Unfortunately, our scheduled afternoon match against Tenterden CC had to be cancelled due to the wet weather. But spirits remained high as the team gathered for a lively evening curry in Tenterden, where Coach Pat hosted a fun-filled quiz that kept everyone entertained.

Merstham’s under-11’s side fell to defeat on their international debut, as Switzerland’s batting power prevailed on a sunny Friday morning at Quality Street.

There was a wicket for Merstham in the first over though, as Sid Huggins bowled out Misra to get the hosts off to the perfect start.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR 2025!

Thank you for your overwhelming interest in joining our club, it's great to see the club grow year on year, and so many children getting involved with the sport we love so much! However, due to such high demand, we have had to close applications for the 2025 season. We apologise if this means you miss out this year, but we want to ensure all our sessions are coached to the best of our ability and that every junior gets a good number of games!

We are pleased to announce the release of a new range of supporters clothing for the club.

Provided by local company TND Creative, the range includes tees, hoodies and caps at a reasonable price.

Save the date! Merstham CC is holding its first ever Girls and Women’s Cricket Festival on the 5th May (Bank Holiday Monday)! Across the afternoon, we invite all our female members, along with family and friends, and anyone who wants to try out a new sport to join us for some fun games and matches! Entry will be free for all, and we would love it if families come to spectate too!

How the day will work:

Coming up on the Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April, the club will be holding its annual get-set weekend.

This weekend we will be preparing the club for the upcoming season.
