As most of you are aware, Merstham Cricket Club is one of the largest cricket clubs in the county by membership, and plays a major  role in the local community. We have 4 League Sides competing on a Saturday, 1 on a Sunday and 2 friendly Sunday sides, as well as juniors from under 8s up to under 17s. We use various methods to reach out to the local community including twitter (@mersthammagics), our wonderful website www.mersthamcc.co.uk and through the local paper, The Surrey Mirror.   We have been given an opportunity to report live on local radio station Susy Radio on 103.4 (www.susyradio.com) on their Saturday music and sport show which runs between 2 and 6pm. This would be an ideal opportunity for any budding young journalists out there to get some valuable media experience, or for anyone who has always fancied the chance to speak live on air. There are also opportunities for people to have their written reports printed on a regular basis in the Surrey Mirror. We would also love some help with scoring for our senior games if anyone would be interested.   Please let me know at edward.loader@rbc.com if you would be interested in helping out the club and gaining some experience which could look great on a CV/UCAS form etc.. .   We will be able to provide lifts to the games and you will get a free tea.
