Gentlemen and ladies it is that time of year again - sign up to take your partners out to Merstham Cricket Club's biggest night of the year, the annual Dinner Dance!
After enjoying a three-course meal, Reigate Hill Golf Club turns into a dance floor to the pounding tunes thrown down by the Reservoir Frogs, who are returning once more.
Merstham’s first team match was abandoned again on Saturday, and the second and third teams could only manage bonus points in defeat during rain interrupted matches, while the fourth team won by default.

Merstham's Under 9 team rounded off a fantastic season with a terrific win over Oxted & Limpsfield to be crowned ESCL U9 League play-off winners.
But life is for taking risks, so we venture forward into the unknown - innocent, naive and desperately hoping we had remembered to wear a box.
It is therefore a shock when, under-strength, we win our opening game against Cheam. Sorry, that’s a lie. We thrash Cheam. The strength of our bowling, which we’d always hoped would keep us somewhat competitive, absolutely blitzes them - restricting them to a negative score (remember this is pairs cricket, with its weird scoring) and taking 10 wickets. We win by 60 runs.
Merstham U9s are hoping for a bumper supporting crowd on Thursday at Quality Street, after reaching the ESCL playoff final with a fantastic win over a strong Horley side.
Fielding first, some excellent bowling and catching restricted Horley to 255-11 with four wickets for James Barkwith, and two for Oliver White with others being shared around.
