The outdoor nets at Quality Street are now ready and available to be used for practice, after two days were spent on the NatWest Cricket Force weekend preparing them.
Dan Feist, a former first team captain who heads up Merstham Cricket Club's disability squad activities, will be running the Brighton 10km for Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice, on April 9.
Chestnut Tree House is a local children's charity providing hospice care services for children with life-shortening conditions. There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex and Chestnut Tree House offers support for the whole family including bereavement support, end of life and short break care and sibling support.
Our annual involvement in the NatWest Cricket Force weekend takes place on Saturday April 8 and Sunday April 9.
Cricket Force is the weekend we get the grounds' facilities ready to be used for cricket. We will be working at both grounds on the Saturday and Sunday and there will be many jobs to be done. Any little help will make the jobs a lot easier. Jobs will be listed on the website in due course.
Merstham Cricket Club has become a Cricket All Stars hub.
Indoor nets start from Saturday February 4th / Sunday February 5th and run for 10 weeks. It is a measure of the club’s success and popularity that they are now split across two days, at St Bede’s School, Redhill, to accommodate more juniors.
