The last indoor nets session of the winter will take place this Sunday at St Bede's School.

Once winter nets sessions have ended, please do NOT use the nets at Quality Street, because the ground is extremely wet after lots of rain this winter. Coaches, team managers and adult players will be informed when the ground is in a suitable condition to be used for net practice.

At the club’s agm, the officers standing again were all re-elected, plus club captain Richard Feist and treasurer Chris Clayson were elected as joint vice chairmen. Several other non-elected committee members were re-appointed.

Bobby Sharp will continue as fixtures secretary for now and has done the majority of the fixtures arranging for the summer, but this will require someone else to deal with rearranged fixtures during the season.

A tale from India of a boy scoring 1,009 runs not out reminds us that, young or old(er) we could all probably do with a bit of cricket practice before the season starts in April. Thank you to John Turner (70+ not out) for sending in the cartoon from the Daily Mail!

The disability side of Merstham Cricket Club, the Magics, celebrated Christmas with a party at Quality Street.

They enjoyed games and refreshments. The players get together for some social events outside the season and play matches and train druing the season at Merstham Cricket Club. Anyone who is interested in joining the squad can contact Chris Roulston

Merstham Cricket Club will be open on Christmas Eve, as is now tradition.

Real ale and light refreshments will be available from about 7pm. All club members are welcome.
